Our team always keeps an eye on everything which is connected to virtual reality technologies. The hardware is one of the most important things to ensure stable operation of games. Our software supports both Pico 4 and Meta Quest 3, but today we would like to share information about the newest model of the headsets which is able to compete with the ones mentioned above with you in this article.
Pico company officially released Pico 4 Ultra - a new Meta Quest competitor. The previous model Pico 4 was presented to a wide audience almost 2 years ago. Contrary to pre-release rumors, Pico's new headset is not the Pico 4S. Instead, the company has decided to call its latest virtual reality product the Pico 4 Ultra, given its more advanced hardware compared to the existing Pico 4 model.
In short, Pico is positioning the Pico 4 Ultra as a direct competitor to the Meta Quest 3 (priced at $499.99 on Amazon). Pico has installed a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR Gen 2 chipset, as well as 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the other hand, the included controllers have built-in motion sensors and no visible tracking rings.
But as soon as we have a chance, we will test our software on these headsets and share the feedback with you. Due to the characteristics we can say that Pico keeps up with the times and develops great hardware for virtual reality, so this model of the headset may become the next that our company will support!
