What is SPLIT?
The SPLIT feature divides one large arena into two smaller, completely independent playing zones. This means you can host two different groups at the same time, in the same physical space.
And here's the best part. You can run completely different games on each side.While one group of adults fights off zombies, for example, a group of kids can be fishing peacefully on the other side of the divider.
Why do you need it?
Got a birthday party with a smaller group? Or a weekend walk-in that's too small to fill the whole arena? You don't want to turn away money, but you also don't want to run a massive playground for just a few people.
Have two separate waiting lounges? Even better. With SPLIT, you can run two birthday parties at the same time — each with their own celebration, their own game, and their own happy guests.
What you'll need to activate SPLIT
✔️A second tablet ✔️A second router ✔️At least 12 meters (about 40 feet) of length on the arena's longest side
SPLIT comes pre-installed for every BATTLE START partner. No extra setup fees, no complicated activation process.
Two important things to keep in mind:
1️⃣ SPLIT isn't available yet for mobile MR arenas. We're working on it! 2️⃣ This feature does not increase the maximum number of players per VR game. It lets you run two separate games at once.
How to set it up
It's simple:
1️⃣ Open the app on two separate devices; 2️⃣ Assign the splits: on the first tablet, select Split 1; on the second tablet, select Split 2;
3️⃣ Once you've made your selection, you'll be taken to the Setup Room settings, where you can adjust the size of each arena to fit your physical space.
The software remembers your setup for future sessions. You won't have to redraw the arenas every single time.
When you need to, you can merge both halves back into a single VR arena with just a couple of clicks.
